What is T!POFF
Tip-Off is designed specifically to help control and manage illegal tipping at
civic amenity sites by identifying regular commercial users of free tipping
facilities.
Capture lost revenue
T!POFF is a management software system that incorporates automatic
number plate reading technology to specifically help control
and manage trade tipping at civic amenity and recycling sites.
T!POFF
simply identifies regular users of free household tipping facilities
and alerts onsite staff to investigate and redirect trade waste
to the weighbridge or to voucher permit schemes that could generate
thousands of pounds in lost revenue each year.
Monitors, records and alerts
T!POFF, developed by security surveillance specialist Essa Technology,
records and monitors vehicular activity onto the site and analyses
the collected data for re-occurring visits. Once a pre-determined
threshold of visits within any one period has been reached T!POFF
identifies the frequent visitors car number plate and alerts staff
by means of a message on a computer screen in the gatehouse and/or
to onsite staff via a radio pager.
The system enables employees to investigate further, add specific
notes to the data record or simply clear the alert if the drivers’ load
contains genuine household waste.
The management software not only stores the vehicle registration
number it also includes a captured CCTV wide-angle image of the vehicle
together with time and date of each entry. Operators can easily enter
additional details such as waste type and driver information onto
the system to specifically monitor suspect offenders over a period
of time.
Management information at your fingertips
T!POFF can generate a variety of activity reports. It can tell you
how many vehicles are visiting the site per hour, per day, per
month. You can review individual vehicle visits by time, date and
frequency.
Most importantly the software can be tailor made to meet your requirements – you
decide which reporting formats you want and you can set the parameters
to three different levels of alert to enable employees to warn,
redirect or refuse access.
Innovative management software from Essa
T!POFF has been developed closely with waste industry specialists
and is undergoing a pilot trial at Torbay Council’s
civic amenity site in Paignton. T!POFF is due to be launched at
the Chartered
Institute of Waste Management exhibition in June 2004. For further
